ATLAS-MTG-03 · Implemented MVP · synthetic data
Atlas Mortgage Intelligence
An evidence-backed mortgage-market intelligence workspace that ranks deterioration signals, explains their drivers, and preserves a verifiable record of how each conclusion was produced. The challenge
Mortgage-market signals were fragmented, difficult to rank, and easy to overstate without visible provenance.
Mortgage-market evidence is fragmented across economic, housing, rate, and portfolio signals. Atlas Mortgage Intelligence converts those inputs into a transparent ranked view without asking an AI model to calculate the score or make borrower-level decisions.
The approach
Break the decision into evidence, rules, and authority.
- 01
Separated market scoring from narrative interpretation.
- 02
Exposed component contributions, freshness, confidence, and coverage.
- 03
Recorded dataset and conclusion provenance in a tamper-evident ledger.
Architecture / system
A connected operating system for the decision.
- Deterministic 0–100 deterioration scoring from normalized public and open market inputs
- Specialist agents for evidence retrieval, interpretation, comparison, and citation-grounded explanation
- Market rankings, drill-downs, component contributions, freshness, confidence, and coverage
- Tamper-evident hash-chain ledger with dataset snapshots, version provenance, and verification receipts
Product experience

AI design
What the model does
Retrieves and explains evidence around deterministic market rankings.
What remains explicit
The 0–100 deterioration score and component contributions are calculated without a model.
Where judgment remains
Analysts judge the relevance of signals; the system makes no borrower-level or lending decision.
Outcome
Made market-deterioration rankings inspectable and reproducible, separating deterministic scoring from AI-supported interpretation and borrower-level decisions.
- 25,000-row synthetic portfolio
- 0–100 transparent scoring
- Tamper-evident evidence ledger
Project facts:Independent proof of concept built with verified public/open sources and a generated 25,000-row synthetic mortgage portfolio. The local MVP does not require an OpenAI key. It is not affiliated with Freddie Mac and does not provide lending, investment, legal, compliance, appraisal, underwriting, or credit advice. A credential-free synthetic public demo is available at /demos/atlas-mortgage-intelligence; it is separate from the local MVP.
07 · Lesson / perspective
A model explanation is trustworthy only when the underlying score, data, and transformation path can be inspected independently.
